Lil’ Bubba® is manufactured in Company owned facilities
The Lil’ Bubba® parts are cut, bent , welded, punched , drilled, sanded, painted and assembled in company owned facilities in Orlando, Florida. This gives us the ability to make innovative modifications and adjustment to current products very quickly. If a customer needs custom molds or custom modifications to our stock trailers or tools, it can be done quickly and correctly without voiding our lifetime warranty on all equipment housings. Many equipment manufactures sub-contract their equipment and parts to local fabricators, creating opportunity for issues to arise with their quality control and ability to effectively make product changes and modifications.
Lil’ Bubba® has the newest industry Patent
The Lil’ Bubba® is the most advanced plunger style curb machine on the market with the newest patented drive mechanism to prove it. Traditional plunger or ram style curb machines have a drive mechanism that moves the plunger or ram in a back and forth motion to extrude curb. This type of drive mechanism has historically created problems with weak areas in the curb every few inches, binding and bridging inside the hopper and excessive wear on the drive bearings from the sandy concrete mix. The patented Lil’ Bubba® plunger system eliminates all of these problems with its unique plunger motion which extends 7” into the hopper, up, down, forward, and backward – producing a continuous form of concrete without flat spots and NO binding or bridging. No other manufacturer can make this statement. The EP Curbing Machine can install a 24” walkway with no modifications to the equipment other than a mold change. While others have duplicated the mold, they cannot duplicate the technology involved – so their equipment requires a mold change, an undercarriage change, and a plunger change – as well as an engine upgrade! The Lil’ Bubba® EP machine offers the only ‘stock’ 4 Horsepower engine – and we utilize only Honda engines on ALL of our gas powered equipment.
Lil’ Bubba®’s are equipped with large Honda gasoline engines
Lil’ Bubba®’s patented drive mechanism is powerful. It has the ability to create large curb and walkways without any adjustments or part changes. Lil’ Bubba® uses 4 and 5.5 horse power gasoline engines to run its powerful drive system. Lil’ Bubba® has the largest engines in its class. Electric motors are not used on any of the equipment. Operating a curb machine with an electric motor is difficult. The power cord often gets in the way and sometimes damages the newly extruded curb. A power cord delivers less voltage to the motor as the cord gets longer and the motor gets further from the power source decreasing speed and horse power. Many job sites like golf courses, new construction and city parks are without power outlets. The large Honda gasoline engines mounted on all Lil’ Bubba® machines are the most reliable and durable power plant available.
Lil’ Bubba® has been generating concrete profits for over 14 years
On the market since 1992, Lil’ Bubba® curb machines have been the heart of many successful small businesses. Many of The Concrete Edge Company™ employees have run or are still running extremely profitable landscape curb operations. They are available for technical, operational and moral support to any Lil’ Bubba® owner, or prospective owner. These people have a wealth of valuable information to share. Training is always available (in English and Spanish) and support is only a phone call away.
The continuous concrete curbing residential market is growing and expanding at a tremendous rate as consumers become aware of the benefits. With more operators promoting the products, this high growth is expected to continue. The market itself is generally estimated in the tens of millions of dollars per year.
The ability to produce a high quality product is an absolute prerequisite. The Lil’ Bubba® system has been designed to produce high quality landscape curbing quickly and efficiently. The system will extrude a very tightly compacted curb therefore reducing the time required for troweling. Generally the profiles are higher than other manufacturers resulting in a stronger curb. The system allows for a large selection of colors, stamps and impressions to meet most consumers requirements.
